Program format

Face to face program:
3-hour design thinking workshop led by business volunteers and 3-hour coding training led by coding trainers

JA Innovation Camp introduces new tech trends to students and develops their design thinking and coding skills, creativity, entrepreneurial mindset, teamwork, and problem-solving. Through team exercise, prototyping and presentation, students will apply their learnings to develop a solution for a better community.

Student teams can join the JA Code for Impact Challenge for all secondary schools to be held in May 2025. Student teams of 6-8 members will meet with the Volunteer Coding Advisors to get advice and guidance on their coding and pitch their social innovation ideas and App prototypes to a panel of judges. The best solutions will be recognized, and the winning teams will be awarded job-shadowing opportunities in a tech company.
